Operationally the proposed project will be realized through a Festival of Baroque music, sacred and profane, popular and of the late renaissance period, made of eighteen concerts by musicians from Italy, Romania and Slovenia, held in these three countries over a period of two years (9 concerts in the first year and 9 in the second year) and divided into two seasons dedicated one to the profane baroque music, and the other to the sacred music.

Each partner will organize 3 concerts per year in its own country and it will perform 2 concerts in its own country and the same concerts in each other country.

With the organizations of these concerts in Italy, Slovenia and Romania, we will encourage the mobility of the artists, their mutual exchange of knowledge and, at the same time, we aim to stimulate the curiosity and interest of the public, in order to increase their knowledge in this field with its various aspects. Moreover we aim to give, above all, the stimulus to musicologists and researchers from every European country to thoroughly examine the material that is the object of this project, which means the rediscovery of a common culture that involved the major part of Europe.

In this context, the creation of a network of artists for the exchange of ideas and for the realization of common initiatives, is therefore fundamental.

An interesting aspect that the project takes into consideration is the idea of virtual mobility. The internet sites gives to the artists the possibility to exhibit and to distribute their works in a rapid and efficient way. The multimedia programs allows almost all types of artistic productions (songs, videos, installations or even theatrical representations) to “circulate” throughout the world. The project intends to realize a site that serves as a means of privileged presentation, in particular for the artists and their works.

The project intends therefore to stimulate artists, producers and artistic directors to commit themselves still more to the creation of a network, in the participation of joint projects and in the creation of stronger ties with the institutions, in order to encourage the circulation of artists and their works in Europe, even after the conclusion of the project.

With the organization of concerts in the three countries involved, the project intends to organize also didactical and educational corse with regards to the art of “liuteria” as it is known in Italian, that is the art of constructing and restoring stringed instruments and other corded instruments (violin, cello, viola, double bass, etc.) and the plucked instruments (guitar, basses, mandolin, etc.).
